It has been wonderful...

This is silly, but so worth remembering (it doesn't happen very often)...
Bridge wanted to spend the night at Teegans. Jason went fishing today. It has just been Addi and I. I had to run into town and on the way home she fell to sleep and stayed that way when I layed her into her bed. My point..
I HAVE HAD OVER 2 HOURS OF NO NOISE WHATSOEVER!!! No screaming, No whining, No arguing, No cartoons...JUST PURE SILENCE!!!
It has been wonderful.

If everything goes as planned, in 3 weeks from today we will be a family of 5. I have a scheduled induction for December 2, 2009. So before this new little one comes I have really been trying to get caught up on 4 years ago when my first little buddy came. I really wish that I had had this blog back then. I feel like I have missed out on emotions that I couldn’t possibly remember let alone decipher from baby to baby. But, I will do the best I can to make Bridger's scrapbook pages just as personal as Addis and the babies. Here is what I have been working on…

Bridger-We are getting close...Bridger-Cowboys just don't take baths

Bridger-one month old

Bridger-A little piece of Heaven Bridger-What a stud...

Bridger-Living in the moment

It isn’t much, but something to add to the few layouts that I have completed. It is so much fun to look back and remember the emotions. I’m getting so excited for #3!

A REPORT CARD

I was having the beginning of a dream last night that I never got to finish. It has struck a heartstring and more or less I just want to journal my thoughts.

I was with Heavenly Father and he had is hand outstretched with a piece of paper. He says “My precious Daughter this is your report card. Please review it and learn of your strengths and your weaknesses.Fix the areas that need improvements and continue with your strengths. We will meet again soon. I love you my Daughter”  Then I woke up. I never got to see my report card from my Heavenly Father, but my mind has been continually thinking of it since I woke up.

I wondered what that moment would have been like. How humble would I be in this situation. Would I be completely terrified to open that piece of paper, or would I have the strength to know that I would be able to overcome my many weaknesses. What would be the areas I needed to work on the most, and where would my strengths lie. Just to stand at the feet of our Heavenly Father… that is an emotion I couldn’t even come close to explaining in words. The way you would feel would be so overwhelming and emotional. I would pray that my report card wouldn’t be filled with F’s but I am positive that I would see a few of them. Patience being one that I am pretty sure would hold an F.  I have been so irritable and short lately I feel terrible for my family. I would hope that under Love I would see an A, but Love and Patience goes hand in hand, so maybe it would hold a D or something of that nature. Maybe you would just get one letter for an overall you…would it be an A, B, C, D, or F…how do I rate!

I don’t know why we have the dreams that we have some nights, but I am sure I had this one because there are so many areas of my life that need strengthened. I need to be a better Daughter to my Heavenly Father, A Mother to my Children, A Wife to my Husband, A Daughter to my Parents, A Sister to my Sisters, and a Friend to my Friends. I need to be a better me…for me and everyone I love. There are so many thoughts that go through my mind when I think of this dream, but I wanted to just journal a few of them.

What would your report card say?

Bubbles

I have a hard time getting my kids to drink milk. I think they get it from there Grandma Warnke…she does not like milk. Hasn’t for a very very long time. In my attempt to get them to drink one day gave them a straw in the hopes that maybe they would think it was so much neater then just drinking water and they would want milk.

This is what happened…

Milk Bubbles

I am not sure how much milk they actually drank that morning with there breakfast…but they sure had a blast blowing Milk Bubbles!

Logan says…

So Chant called me and said “I just had to tell you what Logan said today at lunch.”

Here is there conversation: (They were eating Mac-N-Cheese).

Chant: Do you want some more Log?

Logan: I am getting full… but, yeah I want some more.

Chant: Walked over and put more Mac-N-Cheese in Logans bowl.

Logan: Pulling up his shirt and sticking his little stomach out as far as he can says: “Look Mom, my tummy is getting full like Brandi’s.”

I got a great laugh over that! It is so funny how perceptive they are. They come to their own conclusions when we don’t clue them in (not that Chant has not told him that I am having a baby). It is just so cute!

Well Log, only 3 1/2 wks and my stomach will be a whole lot emptier (although, it will still look full)…I love you Logan!

Halloween 2009

This year we had a great Halloween. The kids had cute costumes and were so so excited about them. That in itself made the holiday that much more fun. Bridger was Captain Hook and Addisyn was an adorable little Bumble Bee. I even dressed up as a nurse…although I will be honest I think this was just an excuse to be comfortable and not fight with my clothes all day…they just don’t fit well anymore! Other then the costumes though we were very low key this year!  With having a baby in a month I will be honest I am terrified of all the sickness that is going around. All the scares of the swine flu…I just couldn’t risk anything. So we really didn’t do much. The kids were all dressed and decorated in their costumes by 10:00 and were in them all day long. Grandpa & Grandma Park were the first to see them. They stopped by the house for a little photo opportunity before they went to Idaho Falls and Rexburg for the day. After there pretty brief visit we were off to Idaho Falls ourselves. After one very important stop to pick up Shannon and Oakleigh we were headed up to Grandpa & Grandma Warnke. This was the extent of our day. We spent all day with my family!  Grandma made it special for them and filled there pumpkins with candies and goodies. It was a great low key day!

Halloween 09 page 1

Halloween 09 page 2

We did however carve pumpkins during Halloween week. The kids were besides themselves with excitement. They each had there own little pumpkin then I had got one for Jas and one for me, but by the time we carved them one of the larger ones was yuck…so the one large one became a family pumpkin. Last year we had a huge competition…Jason has a very competitive streak in his body. I was carving my best with a knife and he gets his Dremel tool out…so this year it was all Dremel for all of us! Bridge was a little disappointed that he couldn’t carve his pumpkin all by himself with his own knife. I let him try with one of his plastic knifes but it just didn’t work! Someday Buddy you will understand why a 4 year old just couldn’t do it by himself.  We really did have a wonderful time. I love involving my kids in stuff like this. I just think it is fun and exciting. They loved it and Jas and I loved it probably more then they did.

Halloween 09 carving pumpkins

And, I will say that Halloween morning we did have orange pumpkin shaped pancakes. The kids thought they were so neat. Even though we didn’t really trick or treat or trunk or treat or see all of my nieces and nephews…it was a great day and the kids were excited about it! Next year though I think Bridge will be old enough that I won’t be able to get away with a low key Halloween… so here's to next year!

Spur of the moment…

…family time is my favorite kind ever…I love the unexpected, unplanned “vacation.”

Jas woke up early with the intention of going hunting…then a few minuets later he was cuddled up next to me again. He quickly decided that he was very tired and wouldn’t go hunting that morning. BUT…when he did wake up he wanted nothing but to go hunting! Of course, right!!! Bridger's first words to Jas were “Can we go fishing today?” So, Jason came up with this plan:

Our first stop was Mesa Falls…

Mesa Falls-09

I have always loved waterfalls! It was so much fun for me to stop and see these beautiful waterfalls again. It has been a long time since I have been there. The kids were just in awe, they loved it so much. Bridger keep saying “this is so fun mom.”  "ook Mom” Addi repeated over and over again. After we left the falls we drove for a while down this trail and this back road looking for deer or elk. Then we were in Island Park and stopped at The Pines for some lunch.

Then we continued on our little journey. We drove and drove, for the most part the kids were good. Bridger just keep asking “are we going fishing yet???” Jason and I both got so sick of hearing that! But finally we made it here…

Kilgore, ID-09 (After Mesa Falls)

We were all very excited to get out of the truck and stretch our legs. Jas, Bridge and Addi were so excited to go fishing. I love to fish to but I was playing with the camera and chasing kids. Jas is great at fishing the little creeks and every cast would pull out a little brookie and have the kids reel it in. Their faces would light up with excitement that seemed to be uncontrollable. It was adorable and something I will never get use to seeing.

Bridge wanted to take every fish he caught home…so he was excited when dad told him he could take this poor fish home (he swallowed the hook to deep and wouldn’t have made it). When Addi got word of taking something home she didn’t have a fish in her hands so she went for the closest living thing…a worm! She held onto this worm for a good half hour. Then Jason convinced her that it was time to use him as bait and so she kissed the worm goodbye…yes I said kissed the worm!!! IMG_3445

Jas caught another fish that Addi was able to call her own. It was hilarious though, it wiggled off the hook right at the bank and so Jas was trying to catch this slippery, wiggly fish with his hands. Bridge and I were laughing so hard! It was so funny.

Like I said earlier I was playing with the setting on my camera and was in love with the way some of the pictures would turn out on this Color Accent setting. Here are some of my favorites.

It was such a wonderful day! We enjoyed each others company, there was little fighting, great conversation and we were together!!! It is so nice when we have the opportunity to show our kids the simple things in life…not spending money to have fun (other then gas…), but having fun because we are in Gods creations and together as a family! It was a great way to spend a Saturday!!! I love my family so much, and am so lucky to have them.

I have said many times that I love a Childs imagination... just Love it!  Addi climbed on my lap and had some of her “medical” equipment and started examining me. It was so cute…she was talking to the baby and listening to him very intently. Then she would look in my ears and nose and then start all over. It was just adorable. It is amazing what they catch onto when they are only 2 years old!

Always on my mind…

bridger-hunting

I think that Hunting is Always on Bridger's’ mind.

We had these 2 bucks come into the yard one day looking for some lunch. They were feasting on some fallen apples from the apple trees. We were able to watch them for quite a while (like an hour). It was so cute, they would eat for a little while then remember that we were there and stare at us. Of course, Bridger’s immediate reaction was to grab his rifle! He started shooting at them and was so excited when his imagination allowed him to say “I got em mom.”

{less then 7 weeks left}

Cooper-33 weeks pregnant

So i will admit that I am excited to be nearing the end of this pregnancy…not because I don’t want to be pregnant anymore, but because I am anxious to meet this little guy! I have really tried hard to cherish every moment of this pregnancy. All the ups and downs, every little kick and movement, the heartburn, the diet (which isn’t so bad…I have only gained 8 pounds-yeah), the checking my blood sugar 3-4 times a day, the aches in my back, the hiccups… that I just love to feel…etc. etc.  because I think this is probably going to be my last pregnancy. That makes my heart ache to think about all the lasts that I am going through right now, and may never experience again! That’s sad…I really enjoy being pregnant though, because I think it is such an amazing thing, and has so much to offer to those who get to experience it.

To my little guy:

I am getting so excited to meet you!  To see who you look like, to kiss your little face, and look into your big eyes. To smell you, and hold your little fingers. To see Bridger and Addisyn with you. To feel again the love of our Heavenly Father…the way it can only be expressed when you hold a new angel in your arms. To have your daddy look at me the way he does only after I have a baby. There are so many things that I look forward to in the next few weeks. I want you to know that you are coming into a home that is so full of love and anticipation for you!  Your brother and sister are so excited. They come and talk to you in my stomach often, and kiss you just as much. They always call you by the name I am certain you will get, but not 100% yet.Your dad and I can’t wait to have you in our lives, to hold you in our arms and love you unconditionally.  We really do love you so much already.

Love Mommy

Boys will be Boys…

Bridger made me laugh

so hard the other day!

I was busy making 10 tinfoil dinners for Jason to take hunting over the weekend. I did it last year, so I was nominated to do it again this year for him and the other 2 guys that were going.  AFTER…

IMG_3316

I made some pumpkin cookies  and when I say some, I made 8 dozen cookies. They are really good, although I have only had like 4 of them over the last 3 days. I got the recipe from Jessica and they are so easy…

IMG_3312

Here is the recipe:

2 box spice cakes

1 large can of pumpkin

I also added about 1/2 a bag of mini chocolate chips and topped them off with Cream Cheese Frosting. mmmmm

Bake at 375 for 10 min.

THATS IT…Enjoy!

Anyway, Bridger has been asking to decorate the house with Halloween Decorations. I just don’t have any. I would love to have the money to decorate for every holiday but just don’t. So,  we decided that we would make some. He wanted to make a witch. So I drew a circle for a face and a triangle for a hat, 2 small circles for eyes, another triangle for a nose…well, you get the point. I told him to cut all the pieces out. Well, after that was done he made the witch a gun…don’t ask…so that lead to needing arms. So we added a neck and a shirt and arms. We then decided that we would just finish him and add legs. After he was all put together Bridge grabs a thin piece of paper and says so nonchalantly  “Mom, should  we give him a talleywacker.”  I could hardly control my laughter. He got so embarrassed and I had to explain to him that I was laughing with him, and not at him.  So…not wanting to break his spirit any more them my burst of laughter did we glued the talleywacker on his witch and it is proudly displayed on our glass sliding door in our dining room!  I love you so much Buddy!!!

Bridger-Witch

The sweet side of Addisyn…

If you have a husband that is into HUNTING like Jason is then you to have been alone a lot lately too. First it was Archery, now it is Rifle… and then there was Ducks in between those two opening days! This has been something that Addi did from the first time that Jas went out.  Finally when he was getting everything ready for this past weekend I happened to have my camera ready and caught the moment. This is what happened…

Addi-Tender moments...

My little 2 year old Angel new that Daddy was leaving and went to her room, grabbed her little baby doll from her playhouse and gave her to daddy saying “She go with u.” Even if in her mind she was thinking something completely different I want to think that she didn’t was Jas to get lonely. That she wanted something of hers to be with her daddy. I wish that I could have captured the look on Jason's face the first time that she did this. It was so cute and so precious. EVERYTIME she notices that he is getting his pack ready to go hunting she goes into her room and searches for this little doll. There has not been a hunting trip that this little doll wasn’t with Jason, and Addi wasn’t right there with Daddy getting everything ready.  In between the yelling, and timeouts, everyday frustrations…it is the tender moments like this that make you feel like you are doing something right. She is so sassy, but what a little Angel. I love this moment, and wanted to remember it forever!!!

I came across this tag and thought it was really fun. I haven’t done one for a LONG time so I thought I would do this!!!

TROUBLE...

Doesn't she look so sweet and innocent...
... DON'T BE FOOLED! I THINK I AM IN TROUBLE WITH THIS ONE!

The other day I had to get after her... I couldn't possibly remember what for...it happens so much during the day! The little stinker (that is not the word that I thought when it happened but for blog purposes that is what I will say...) looks at me pointing her finger and says;

" I NO LISTEN YOU MOM..."

30…

Today the Love of my life is having his 30th Birthday. I wanted to just let him know how incredibly grateful I am for him. Bridger, Addisyn the baby, and I are very very lucky to have him as a Father, Best Friend, Husband, Provider, Comforter, Priesthood Holder, Teacher, Role Model, etc… and he does an amazing job at fulfilling each of the roles he has! IMG_282030 things about Jason: (in no particular order…just as they came to mind)

1-He loves his family with everything that he has…we Always come first. (although at times it doesn’t seem like it…but that is just me being a brat)

2-He loves his truck! You treat it with respect, or you don’t ride in it!!!

3- He loves to hunt…it doesn’t matter what season he loves to have that gun or bow in his hand.

4-He is a candy-aholic…really he is!

5-He loves Mexican Food.

6-His dream vacation would be to go to Alaska…no surprise right!

7-He loves to spend time outdoors…fishing, hunting, camping, 4-wheeling, skiing, snowmobiling… you name it…if it is outside he loves it!

8-He is a Journeyman Electrician and very good and meticulous  at what he does.

9-He can always make me laugh…even on those moments when I try as hard as I can to not give in…he can still make me laugh!

10-He loves Mt. Dew

11-Bridger is his Best Friend…he has high aspirations for his little buddy... and will be by his side every step of the way.

12-Addisyn is his little sissy…she will always have him wrapped around his little finger. Jas got a huge smile on his face last night when I said that I think she could start dancing when she is 3…completely wrapped around his finger.

13-I think one of his favorite holidays is Thanksgiving…but what man doesn’t enjoy thanksgiving! They just get to visit and eat and watch t.v. while the women do all the cooking and cleaning and cooking and cleaning and cooking and cleaning…over and over again!!!

14- He loves AC/DC

15-He is a hard worker, and most of the time a go-getter.

16-Loves the color Red

17-He is a people person. I have always said he could carry on a conversation with a stranger better then I can with my best friend. He just has it…

18-He is a great bull-sh*%#$…he really should have been a salesman!

19-His middle name is Lee. This name is used for generations in his family, something we carried down to Bridger and hope he gives to his children.

20-He likes to watch T.V.

21-He loves old Cowboy music

22-Jason would be a farmer if he new that he could support his family doing it…he would spend all day in a tractor!

23-He loves the smell of fresh cut hay…seriously loves it! He says that if he could find a candle with that scent he would buy all of them.

24-He likes things in order…like if he has a few trailers parked in the yard, they all have to line up, he hates things to look messy…well, at least outside. The inside of the house is a whole different category I guess.

25-He loves to Rodeo. I fell in love with him on a horse. He is a very good Calf Roper and Team Roper…I still love to see him with a Rope in hand…really wish that he could do it more often. Its an expensive hobby though.

26-He loves sagebrush…Says that he would love to plant sagebrush in his yard, and he would have a sagebrush candle as well.

27-He really is not the most patient person…but tries real hard to! He is not a screamer and really hates it that I am…

28-He is a worthy Priesthood Holder. This is something that I am incredibly grateful for. It is an honor to have that in our home…THANKS JAS

29-Loves his truck…I know that I said that already, but he really loves it enough that I think it deserves to be on the list twice. We have had lots of fights over the way I treat the truck…he drives Literally 5 miles down our dirt road. You do not lean up against it…you don’t slam the door, and when you close it you use the handle to close it. Don’t roll down the windows if there is the slightest amount of dust on the windows because it will scratch the tint, He will wash it when its raining to get the bugs off, and eating in it you can only imagine…etc etc etc (I could go on and on and on)

30-He loves me…His whole heart is devoted to his family!

Happy Birthday Jason. I love you so much, you are my best friend. I am so lucky to have you and the kids in my life. I am grateful for the person that you are. It is amazing to know that at the end of the day I have you…not matter what!  I hope that you have a fantastic day…even though you are at work!!!   Love you Babe!

sweet DREAMS… (journaling)

Last night was one of those nights that lasts forever…

First- Bridger woke up and was crying…so, I went in there trying to comfort the poor little guy. “What's wrong buddy…” his reply “I don’t know.” So I gave him a love and went back to bed. Not very much time had gone by and I could hear Bridger crying again…Round 2…”What's wrong Bridge” “The bad guys are trying to get me…” He was having a re-occurring nightmare about these bad guys…I felt terrible. My advise was to try and sing a song and go back to sleep…as I am leaving his room I hear him singing “Jesus wants me for a sunbeam…Jesus wants me for a sunbeam…Jesus wants me for a sunbeam.” That's the only line I ever heard….so cute huh!

It wasn’t to long after I finally got my belly comfortable, my pillow in between my legs just the way I like it and Addi started crying…Round 3… “Little lady what's wrong…” her reply (I am not joking at all) “The cows scarring me to death.”  trying not to make light of her nightmare I cuddled with her until she was back to sleep.

Off to bed again…got resituated sleep for about 30 mins to wake up once again to Bridger…This time I didn’t get out of bed…instead I tell Bridger to come to me…with tears rolling down his cheeks he cuddles up to me in bed and tries to fall to sleep. He wakes about ever 5 min. upset because of the scary bad guys faces. We say a little prayer and I tell him to think about fishing with Daddy…finally we are all asleep for the remainder of the night!

Hopefully tonight it is

SWEET DREAMS

not bad guys and cows!!!

Grandma: “I’m 48”

Bridger: “Gosh (with big eyes) Your getting old.”

Lots and Lots of Laughter… You have to love those grandkids that will always tell it like it is! I hope I look as fantastic as you do when I am “Old.” We love you so much!!!

Today…

when my kids were sleeping, I didn’t get caught up on the laundry…I didn’t do the dishes in the sink after emptying the dishwasher…I didn’t scrub the toilets…I didn’t watch the television…or read a book…I blogged about the happening of our life. I am so thankful that my sister Chant talked me into starting a blog…what a hidden blessing it has been to look back at my life and reflect on how precious a day can be. There are so many days that pass me by without a second thought of how important the little things are to me!

Anyway…I have done 9…yes 9 posts today, and am so grateful for the time that I had to do them and write down the feelings that came with the posts. I wish that I had had this blog when Bridger was first born so that I could remember the little things that often escape my mind.

I hear pitter pattering of little feet on my kitchen floor, and the voice of Addi saying “mom…” So, I have to be done… I have to accomplish all the things listed above before the day is over.

Have Fun getting caught up on the ins and outs of the last month or so with the Park Family if your interested!

{FAMILY TIMES} at the pond

My prayer is that my children will remember Jason and I not just for the “things” that they get, but for the moments spent with the family…the moments that help us grow together…the moments that will keep us together for an eternity.

Fishing-connies pond 1

Fishing-connies pond 2

I love to spend precious time with my children and my husband…this is one of the things that we like to do together. Get away from the many things that need to get accomplished, and spend time in Gods Creations with the most important people to me.

We had such a wonderful time this particular evening. Bridger really couldn’t be more happy when he has his daddy, a fishing pole, and being outside in the fresh air.  Jason is the same way with his little buddy…side by side I think they will accomplish a lot together. Bridge did such a great job today. He caught 3 fish all by himself…he was so proud! It was so cute to watch…I don’t think I will ever get sick of watching them achieve a goal, or succeed at whatever it is they choose to excel in.

IMG_2668

Addi just couldn’t be more happy when she can be free. This really was her first time fishing with her fishing pole. She loved every minuet of it. She is an impatient fisher though…didn’t want to leave her pole casted for long, she just wanted to reel it back in and start over. Although through all that impatient-ness (I know that is not a word…but I think you understand what I am saying) she actually caught a fish!

IMG_2673

You know there are just times that make you so incredibly thankful for the moments like these that you get with your loved ones. I consider myself on very lucky wife and mother! Just look at what I get to count when I count my blessings… I love you all more then it could ever be possible for me to show you!  Thanks for being mine…
