{I started writing on 7-8-12- continued to write during all of the events. Just not ready to share on such a public blog until now…}
This has been one crazy, eventful week. I left Monday morning July 2, 2012 to head to Rexburg. Bridger and Addi had swimming lessons. This was a last minuet addition to my schedule, that just kind of fell into place. I wasn’t going to have Hendrix that week since his Grandma was in town. Natalie was squeezing us into her schedule, so these plans didn’t come into play until Saturday.
Britt was kind and gracious enough to let us crash there for the week. We had 5 lessons, even on the 4th of July, so we were just going to stay down there for the week. I was looking forward to a quite week. Little did I know it would be such a busy busy busy eventful week.
Later that night, {Monday July 2, 2012} Jason called me and said that there was someone coming to look at the house that night. I immediately felt some anxiety. I had cleaned the majority of the house, but had started going through clothes in Coops room so his was a mess, I hadn’t made my bed, and I really didn’t know how Bridge and Add had left the basement. But, Jas was there to apologize for the messy presentation- I guess.
On Tuesday July 3, 2012 Jas called that afternoon and said that they were coming to look again with their kids. I was a little shocked. Mind you I am having no part in this since I am in Rexburg. I just feel embarrassed that the house doesn’t look as nice as it could look. Jason calls after they left and said that it seems promising. They seem excited, and the kids just loved it.
On Wednesday July 4th, 2012 We celebrated the 4th of July with them that evening at a BBQ. Jason talked to them a little. I talked to her a little. But, it seemed like they wanted to make it work. We didn’t talk a lot because we were trying to still keep it quiet.
On Thursday July 5th, 2012. Addisyn’s 5th Birthday!!! It was a hectic day. I was trying very hard to make Addi’s birthday special, all while doing this and that, while I was in Rexburg, for the people who might be making an offer. By the end of the day we had an offer. I couldn’t believe it.
On Friday July 6th, 2012. Jason came to Rexburg, and we looked at houses all day. THANKS THANKS THANKS SO MUCH to Brittany for dropping everything she was doing, and going with the flow of my unexpected weekend and watching my kids for me. I didn’t feel pressure to get back, so it made it so nice. I owe you!!!
On Saturday July 7, 2012 in a conversation between Jason and Stuart we made a few changes, and then a few phone calls, and decided it was a done deal. The house was unofficially sold {no papers were signed yet}.
On Friday and Saturday {the 6th and 7th} we looked at a bunch of houses, in a HUGE variety of styles. Ranging from 1-10 acres, new homes to older homes. There were some we walked through pretty fast, and some we walked through a few times before we left. There were some that I liked, and some that Jason liked. Some that just weren’t right, and some that we could see ourselves in… anyway, we look at a lot. We found a property on each day that we really liked. But, the house we found on Saturday was very nice. We actually took the kids to see it, to get their opinion. SUCH A BIG DECISION… they just have to be involved a little.
Sunday July 8, 2012 we did a lot of thinking. talking and praying.
Monday July 9, 2012. That evening Stuart and Camille came over to look at the house again, sign papers, and give earnest money. They will be doing some remodeling, so Camille was trying to figure out what she was going to be doing, and how to best do what I believe she has envisioned in her head. I can’t believe that I signed an offer paper!!!!!!! It just seems like forever since we first started the journey of selling our home. Bridger was 2…. he is almost 7 years old!
We also decided to make an offer on this home in Rigby…
This was a VERY BIG decision. It will be a very different life style then what we have been use to for the last 12 years. We are ready for a fresh start, a change, and something new. We absolutely love the house, the beautiful yard, and the neighborhood.
{We were going to put an offer in on July 9, 2012, but I did something pretty stupid, and screwed up the online signature thing-a-ma-jig, so It will not go in until tomorrow July 10, 2012. Oops… Grrrr}
Tuesday July 10, 2012. We put in our offer. Now it was time to wait…wait…wait…!!!! Not my favorite part of the process. That evening I received a call from our realtor saying that they countered back. So we talked, processed, and talked some more about what to do next.
Wednesday July 11, 2012. This was a VERY long day for me on so many levels… after so many different emotions were felt, we decided to counter offer. I talked to Ryan at 12:58pm.
At 8:24pm my phone rang…. “Ryan Webster” I wasn’t expecting a call from him till the next morning. “They are going to make this work. Congratulations, the house is yours” No Way… We really weren’t expecting that, but oh my heck, we are SO ELATED!!!!!
It is a HUGE decision for us. For a lot of reasons, one being, because it is going to be a life style change for all of us. So many things to take into consideration... so many!!!!
I read this quote, and it just seemed to be fitting right now:
“You don’t have to be afraid of the unknown. It is unknown only to you. God is well aware of where you are and of every step He is asking you to take.”
I can’t believe that in 9 days, we sold our house, and bought a house! I can’t believe it is actually happening. It is exciting. It makes me nervous because it is such a big change for us, and pushes us out of our comfort zone, but I couldn’t want it all any more then I do.
Stonegate Subdivision in Rigby Idaho… here we come!!!
