Santa didn't forget us...

As a little girl I can't remember a single Christmas when we didn't get to open at least one present on Christmas Eve...depending on how persuasive we were. We were always so excited even we we finally figured out that it was ALWAYS new Christmas pajamas. So in the spirit of Remembering Tradition, this year was no exception. I got Christmas Eve presents for Grandma & Grandpa, Jason and my 2 kids. It was so fun to have my mom be so excited to have a Christmas Eve gift this year!!! I wanted to add to my parents tradition, so this year I added a new Christmas Book with our Christmas PJ's. I hope this will be a tradition that my kids will follow, also adding there something new to the tradition.
This year has been so much fun for Jason and I. Bridger has been so excited, and is understanding the concept of Santa Clause. He was so excited to sit on his lap and tell him what he wanted for Christmas. Addi was TERRIFIED of the big man in Red! This year Bridger asked for a "Green John Deer Tractor" he was beyond excited to see that Santa had come to town. Addi got doll stuff, but was WAY more interested in the "Green John Deer Tractor." It is SO much fun to see the sparkle in there eyes when they see something new. I love being there mother!!!

Every year we do a name exchange and these are just a few of the pictures from Christmas Day...

We were all spoiled...as always. My parents got all the Big Boys Wii's-FUN HUH!!! We are having so much fun with that. Us Big Girls got the most beautiful pictures of the Salt Lake Temple, I will take a picture of it on my wall and post it soon. The little boys and girls got Fisher Price DVD players...they are AWESOME!!!
This next picture is of my dad...it was so funny!!!
We were all opening our presents and it was my dad's turn. He was opening his presents from Chantri and Stacey, and to EVERYONES surprise there were 3 UPS socks in his package...Chant says that Boston must have slipped a little something special from her in the box without her knowing...it was just hilarious!!!
Christmas has been such wonderful holiday this year. Jason got me a beautiful elk tooth necklace from his elk. It will forever hold such a special place in my heart because of the story it holds. He also got me a gift certificate to the spa. I have never been one to pamper myself much, but I am looking forward to this day!!! THANKS EVERYONE FOR EVERYTHING!!!

Another trip...

to the EMERGENCY ROOM (December 21, 2008)...

Poor little Lady burnt her hand on our big wood burning fireplace we have in the basement. I was down trying to go through some baby clothes I cleaned out of the kid's room and she was just playing. I don't worry to much about her because we have drilled it into her little head that it is HOT, and every time she even gets close she says "HOT HOT HOT" while waving her fist. Well, the poor thing stumbled over her pajamas and tried to hold herself up by her hand. I immediately ran her into the bathroom and ran it under cold water...then put it on ice...snow...icewater...for a little over an hour. Then the blisters started to show, and after a call to the nurses station we headed into the ER. She was such a brave little trooper though. They gave her some medicine for the pain and some cream for the burn. She has a cute little boxing glove on her left hand. I am so proud of how little it has bothered her, and how little she has messed with it. We changed the bandage last night....

WAIT...I WAS TYPING THIS AND THIS IS WHERE I WAS WHEN BRIDGER COMES INTO THE ROOM "ADDI TOOK OFF THIS..." HER BANDAGE- wasn't I just saying how proud I was of her...go figure! ANYWAY...
Here are some pictures I just took only because she pulled off her bandaging... (the less we touch it the less chance of infection. They told us to change it only every 24 hours).

Park Christmas 08'...

MERRY CHRISTMAS with the PARKS...08'

I LOVE THE HOLIDAYS...

We had so much fun just being together and enjoying each others company!!! Every year we do a present name draw. This year we had; Lori, Carter, McKenna and Halley. I love buying, making and creating presents that I can only HOPE they will love. Lori made the cutest little aprons and tu tus for the girls. THEY ARE ADORABLE, and the girls completely LOVE them. Addi was so funny with her tu tu...she just did her little one leg stomp around the room with the biggest cheeser on her face. Bridger got the Elefun game and a tonka truck (among other stuff) from Grandpa and Grandma, and HUNTING stuff from Aunt Holly. Addi got dolls stuff from Aunt Brittany and little Tea Cart from Grandma and Grandpa (among other stuff) that she hasn't stoped playing with since we got home. They have had so much fun this year with Christmas. THANKS SO MUCH EVERYONE!!!

After we exchanged gifts it was on to dinner...BBQ Ribs and marinated Chicken...YUMMY!!! We had Cheesy Creamy Potatoes, Rolls, Jello Salad, Veggie Tray...and Peppermint Oreo Cake! It was really quite Delicious.

Then...it was Pictionary Time (after the TV wouldn't work so we couldn't watch the Cowboys game-darnit :)...) I don't have any pictures but REALLY wish that I had at least one... It was boys against girls and we were having the tie breaker...Britt and Bryce were drawing for the teams...the word was TEMPLE...Neither team was doing well at guessing the drawing, and the BOYS decided that it was time to CHEAT ONCE AGAIN...Bryce shows them him garments and the got the point...well Britt heard about what he did and LEAPED across the room tackling him (I guess we did get to see at least one good football play)...well in the process she ended up BREAKING her hand...they didn't find that out until the following morning when a trip to the ER became number one priority!!! She gets her cast on today...and will have it for 6-8 weeks!!!!

THEN A KNOCK ON THE DOOR... who could it be but SANTA himself!!!
Oh my heck, the kids were completely beside themselves with excitement (look at McKenna's picture in the top left of the page). They were so excited that Santa was there checking in on them. They each had there turn on him lap-well, at least the ones that weren't crying!!! Bridger climbed right on (after he saw the other kids) and asked for a GREEN TRACTOR!!! Addi didn't want ANYTHING to do with him. So I took my turn on his lap with her. The room just filled with laughter and joy. It was so much fun seeing there little eyes just glow with excitement, or fill with tears from complete terror!!! How can Christmas not be your favorite time of year!!! THANKS LANDON!!!

SnOw FUN!!!

We had the PARK Christmas party on the weekend of December 20th this year, so we could all get together and eat, exchange gifts, play and party! We had such a great time. After Brittany and I prepared Ribs and Chicken the night before, and cake and rolls the day of-there wasn't much left to do but PLAY!!! It was so cold...I'm talking like ZERO degrees, but that didn't stop us from playing in the snow. We bundled up the kids and loaded them in the sled for some fun. They LOVED it. They got to do almost anything they wanted with not many rules...what more could a kid ask for! It was so much fun for me being a kid again. Letting all the worries of our daily lives disappear...even if it was only for a moment. The kids were in the sled first, then it was Brit and I. We tried and tried to hold on to that darn sled...but Jason succeeded in putting our faces in the snow A FEW TIMES! Then it was Britt and Makayla...Jason did the same thing!!! Poor Britt got kicked in the head at one point of the joyride! Then Bryce was up...I am sure Idaho Falls could hear him laugh! It was so funny. He had this homemade tin sled. He could barely fit on it, and was holding with everything he had...when he was done he was covered from HEAD TO TOE. I wish I had got a picture of that sled!!!

THANKS so much for making the holiday SO MUCH FUN!!! I LOVE EACH OF YOU SO MUCH, and am so grateful that I get to call you FAMILY!!!

I just can't seem to catch up...

I didn't proof read this, so I hope that it makes since...journaling...

You know the feeling when it doesn't matter how many loads of laundry you do...you have another, or you have all the dishes done...and the sink is full after you do a run through of the house...or you just vacuum to have a bowl of whatever spilled on the floor...well, you get the point! I am there!!! I am so there..... I just don't seem to have the time to get caught up on my everyday things, my vinyl and my blog!!! But I thought I would just journal a few things before they slip my mind, like so many things have been doing lately!

1. Thanksgiving this year was a lot of fun. We were with Jasons side of the family, and we had it at Kayelynn and Kyles. The food was wonderful and the company was great.

2. I put up my Christmas decorations the Monday before Thanksgiving this year... I know, but I love the holiday. It was absolutely adorable the whole time I was decorating the tree Bridger just keep saying "Oh' Mom, I am so happy." How cute is that, he was so excited about the lights and decorations. I love to see so much joy and happiness in his eyes. Every time we see Christmas lights on at someones house he always says "Oh I want those at my house." He is so excited for Santa to come this year. We have really enjoyed telling him all the fun stories of Christmas. I can't wait for Christmas morning. It will be so much fun this year.

3. Bridger went to the Dentist... we decided not to completely put him under and go to the hospital. He did conscious sedation at the dentist office. He was such a big guy about it all. It took a little coaxing for him to take the medicine and stand on the scale...anxiety I think....but when he did, he was a trooper and I was a nervous wreck. It is so hard to see them slow WAY down, when they don't hardly skip a beat during the day. I just watched him as he slowly became groggy and delusional. It was really sad. I didn't like it at all even knowing that it was very temporary. The poor think couldn't walk for hours after we left the dentist. I don't know why they couldn't just do it all, but we have to go and finish it on Wednesday. Maybe my mind won't wonder to so many horrible places this time, knowing that he will be just fine.

4. Addi is growing so fast. Over the last few weeks every time I put her in her crib she just would cry and cry, so finally I would give in lay her on her floor and she would settle right down. So when the opportunity to get a little princess toddler bed came, we decided that we would give it a try. So I put this adorable little bed up one morning, and knew that they days nap might be a little iffy...but we have to try it sometime right! I lay her down for her nap and she went right to sleep. WHAT...not even a little fight! YEA, this will be a piece of cake, or was it just coincidence? So at about 7:45 that night it was time to start putting the kids in bed...I just didn't think that I was that lucky...so off to bed for Bridger and Addi. After our nightly prayers both kids were snug as a bug in a rug...for about 2 min. :) Soon after we walked out of the room little Addi came waking down the hall with her little pink bear and her blankie... she stood in the hall with her hip up against the wall, and her little leg propped out! It was so funny! Jason and I took turns walking her back to her bed and tucking her back in. This went on for about 30 mins. Finally it became a game...she would walk down the hall, and before Jas on I could get off the couch she was running back to her bed (always going strait for Bridger's bed first-how sweet huh). When she started laughing about it, I know I had to change my tactics...so she got a little spanking...made her pucker he lip, but that is is. So Jason stood in our room just outside of her door, and the next time she came out her scared her and told her "It is bedtime Little Lady" she just started crying and you could tell her little heart was broken. She walked into her bedroom, knelt down beside her bed and put her face on her arms and literally cried for about 3 mins. I finally went in there and tucked her back in, she looked at me squinted her eyes closed and went to sleep...Jason and I were laughing so hard at her. She is such a little fireball...but she went to sleep! It has been really actually quite easy to transition her into this little bed, but it breaks my heart...my little baby is growing up FAR to fast. Over the last few days she has shown signs of potty training her...WHAT... oh, I know... when I go to the bathroom, she pretends to wipe her bum, or when she has to poop, she will come and squat in front of me so I know that she is going to the bathroom....I just can't tackle that with her only being 16 months old...maybe in a month or so! She is just growing up WAY WAY WAY to fast!

5. We went down to SLC this last weekend. We really had such a great time. Everyone was able to go but Josh and Halley and the boys (We really missed you guys). Taylor had a little dance recital at the Festival of Trees. She did such great job. She is such a sweet little girls. It is always fun to go and spend time with my nieces. It was Brian's birthday on Saturday, but he had to work and go to Evanston for some of the day, so us girls just spent the time shopping and hanging out. We had a yummy ham dinner that night for him. It is always so much fun to be surrounded my family and the people that we love. Thanks Holly and Brian for letting us crash there. You guys are amazing people and we love you.

6. I am completely ready for the Holiday! I am excited this year for Christmas. Santa is bringing just what Bridger wants, and I think Addi will be overjoyed this year as well. I don't know why, but I think that she will have a lot of fun opening presents. We will be spending Christmas Eve at my parents, and I think Christmas day we will head over to Jackson to stay the night with Jason's family. I just love Christmas time...and being with my families.

well...I am going to go to bed. I really don't feel great right know...

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Christmas Season.
