Addisyn turned 2 in July. A few weeks after her birthday I started the process of potty training. Can I just tell you how much I hate doing this. For the first few weeks (yes, few weeks) I would have her sit on her little toilet, and she wouldn't do anything...so I would put her little panties back on and she would go into the living room and PEE!!! So frustrating! Literally she would take 5 steps from the toilet to the living room and then decide that she had to go. I would do this a few times a day, give up and put a diaper back on the little stinker. Like I said this went on for a few weeks. Then she decided that it was okay to go on the toilet...pheww...well, not really! She would decide when she wanted to go on the toilet, not when she had to go to the bathroom. Isn't this just a fun little process that we all have to go through! BUT, I am happy to say that she is doing pretty well right now. I don't have anymore of the 10 pairs of panties a day. Some days she wears the same pair all day long! Hallelujah...but there are the occasional accidentsI don't even remember how this started, but every night without fail the kids line up on the back wall in the living room and have a motor-bike race to bed! Bridger is ALWAYS the first off the line. Addi usually gets a late start, but smiles and revs her little engine the whole way to her room. Bridge gets completely devastated if for one reason of another Addi "Wins" the race. We have tried to teach him that he cant win them all, and that he can't be a poor looser if he looses the race.
I love that it brings a smile to ALL of our faces at the end of a day. I love to hear Bridger giggle and laugh because he was the first into bed, but to hear Addi start her little bike and rev it all the way to her room is just so darn cute! Ready...Set...GO...
