The Saturday before Easter ended up being a very fun filled day. I woke up feeling like a ton of bricks had fell on me in the middle of night. So nauseous, achy, and just gross. I was just praying I could make it through the days activities-and what we promised the kids.
At 10am there were doing an Easter Egg Hunt at the Driggs park, so that was our first stop. The kids were SO EXCITED!!!
Oh how I love these 4…

About 5 minuets before the “festivities” started…

This was the ONLY PICTURE I GOT!!! I laughed and laughed… it was so crazy, and so hectic! I bet the hunt literally lasted for 10 seconds and it was over. Addi spent the first 5 seconds looking right, then left, then right… Finally she nabbed 1, yes 1 egg. Cooper got one, and Bridger of course ended up with about 7 or so. It was so funny. Addi started crying because it was over before she even realized it started!!! So funny! I was thankful for the extra prizes they got for the eggs with the stickers, because it calmed the tears! They had so much fun regardless though.

After the hunt, we were trying to waist some time before the Easter Bunny was going to be at King’s, so we went to The Broken Spur in town. We walked in and the kids automatically gravitated towards the bunny & chicks. Coop was enthralled with them. He was literally trying to climb into the cage with them.

I must have been our lucky day {or not so lucky, depending on how you think} BUT, the employee that was there just saw how much the kids were lovin’ on this bunny, and said “Dad, can these 3 cute kids take this bunny home if it is a gift?” Really? I couldn’t believe his generosity. So before we left the store we walked out with “HOP” the bunny, and 5 baby chicks. {names still to be determined.}

Meet “Hop”…

After our $10 purchase we had to run home and make them a home. We have had lots of birds before so we have everything they need. We have also had bunny’s before so it was just a matter of making them comfortable.

3 out of the 5…aren’t they just cute!!!

Bridger was so excited he says “I can’t believe it, its like a real farm.” Grinning from ear to ear. I feel blessed that we have the room to do stuff like this with our kids.

Addi loves Hop. He/She makes her happy!

Cooper loved it all. I think if he could talk he would say he was sleeping with them or something. He is just that spunky!!!

Then it was off to King’s. They saw the Easter Bunny. All 3 of them sat on his lap, and got their pictures taken with him.

After we came home I tried real hard to take a little nap… YA RIGHT!!! I know I should know better. I don’t nap. I just don’t. But, I didn’t feel well at all. I just get to that point where I could fall to sleep and Bridger comes in “Mom do you want to play with me.” Augh…then Addi starts ringing the door bell over and over again! A nap was out. I came and did the dishes instead! Laughing…
You can’t have Easter without decorated some eggs. This was the next thing on the agenda. They have never dyed eggs like this. We always have used these AWESOME q-tip like things you break and paint the eggs with. Well, we were so lucky to find them up here so it was this way instead. They liked it, but I don’t think it was as huge of a hit as the other way. To much waiting.

Look at those eggs! Jason was not happy with me that I made him hold his “#1 Dad” egg… I looked as pretty as I felt, so I didn’t feel the need for my picture taken.

What a fun filled day we had as a family. Those are my favorite days ever.
